Andy is a Partner at Windsong Global and also serves as the firm’s General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer.  He has more than 25 years of operating and investing experience, along with a strong legal background, previously having served as general counsel for several public and private companies.  As a member of Windsong’s executive committee, Andy works closely with our team and is responsible for all aspects of the Windsong’s legal, regulatory, and compliance initiatives. He also oversees legal and risk matters within our portfolio investments, including management of all intellectual property assets.   From 2013-2020,  Andy was a Partner and served as General Counsel to Tengram Capital Partners, L.P.   Prior to joining Tengram in 2013, Mr. Tarshis was Executive Vice President and General Counsel at Iconix Brand Group, Inc. a brand management and licensing company, where he was involved in all aspects of the Company's strategic and legal affairs, including M&A, financing, licensing and intellectual property, governance, SEC and other regulatory and compliance matters. Prior to joining Iconix, Mr. Tarshis served as Senior Vice President and General Counsel for Windsong Allegiance Group, LLC, former owner of the Joe Boxer and Hathaway brands, and as a corporate attorney for Toys R Us, Inc., specializing in Intellectual Property.

Mr. Tarshis received a B.A. in History from University of Michigan in 1988 and a JD from the University of Connecticut in 1992.  He resides in Westport, Connecticut with his wife and three daughters.
